Legion Post 356 Committee's 2011-2012 Standing
Committees: A sheet listing the Post
Standing Committees was passed out to members who are encouraged to volunteer in
support of Post activities in the coming year. Commander will appoint committee
chairs by the next meeting. (attachment) Membership
Goals: Target dates have been set by Department for reaching membership
numbers. We are currently working on the first goal of 50% by August 26, 2011.
Commander Brooks ask that all efforts be made to reach 75% by November 25, 2011
and 100% by April 27, 2012. Executive Committee (EC): Currently the Post EC meets at 7:00 pm, the first Wednesday, after the first Monday of each month. Commander Brooks ask the membership to consider a change to make attendance easier. After discussion of several options, Bobby Blanton made a motion for the EC to meet at 6:45 pm, each month, before the monthly membership meeting. The motion was seconded by Harvey Spears followed by a unanimous vote to accept the new meeting date and time. The new Post 356 Constitution
& By-Laws were approved and certified by the Department Executive
Committee on June 23, 2011 and returned to Post 356 by the Department Adjutant.
The Post Adjutant will maintain the official copy in file and make available to
any member requesting a copy thereof. |
